THE LATIN DIVOS

This unique concert presents three Latin singers (Ernesto Cabrera, Fernando Gonzalez,

and Will Corujo) in a musical program featuring opera, zarzuelas, and traditional Latin American

WINTERREISE (Winter Journey) by Franz Schubert

Considered a milestone in the classical art song genre "Winterreise" consists of 24 songs composed

by Schubert based on poems by Wilhelm Muller. Essentially the song cycle depicts the lonelines of winter

and the sadness of the agony of love.

ZARZUELA/LATIN AMERICAN ART SONGS

FIU- Wertheim Performing Arts Center

In an effort to promote the Zarzuela Genreand Latin American Art Songs, HALT will co-present with FIU-School

of Music a concert of Zarzuelas and Art Songs from Latin America. The concert will be performed by advanced

vocal students from FIU- School of Music.

The musical program will feature renowwned soprano Maria Antunez and her husband tenor Martin Nusspaumer.

Maria has performed in major opera houses in the U.S., Europe and South America, including the Washington Opera,

Los Angeles Opera, etc. Tenor Martin Nusspaumer recently performed with the Florida Grand Opera the lead role of

Lt. Pinkerton in Puccini's "Madama Butterfly" and Lensky in "Eugene Oneguin". They will be joined by guest dancers

Jennifer Kronenberg and  Carlos Guerra of Dimensions Dance Theater of Miami.
